Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
One day Mr. Utterson, who was a lawyer, and his cousin Richard Enfield walk around. They walk very often through London. Then they come to an old house and Enfield tells Mr. Utterson a story about an evil man who walked over a girl and the strange person had to pay 100 pounds. That man went into the house and brought a check with the signature of Dr. Jekyll. That was very strange to him that somebody brought a check of another man. So the bad person and Enfield were the whole night in Enfield's house, because the man had to go to the bank and should give him the money. Next day the evil man went with him to the next bank and gave him the money.
Few days later he gets a letter from Dr. Jekyll and it says that if he will die Mr. Hyde should get all his money. So he searches after him. After some days he finds him and sees his face. He looks very evil. So Mr. Utterson thinks that Mr. Hyde is the same man as in the story, which his cousin told him.
Some days later a strange short man kills Mr. Carew. And a servant sees how the man kills Mr. Carew and she goes to the police. There she tells the policemen that a short man with an evil face murdered Mr. Carew with an stick. Mr. Utterson knows it was Mr. Hyde. And really at Mr. Hyde's flat they find the weapon with which Mr. Carew was murdered.
Then he goes to Dr. Jekyll and Dr. Jekyll says that he is ill and he gives him some letters. But now he isn't allowed to open them. So Dr. Jekyll says that when he is dead he is allowed to read them.
One day Mr. Utterson visits his friend Mr. Lanyon, who doesn't look well. Mr. Lanyon says that he will die. And after two weeks he dies.
One day a servant of Dr. Jekyll comes to Mr. Utterson and says to him that he should come to Dr. Jekyll. There the laboratory is closed and the servant tells him that in the laboratory there is a man, but not Dr. Jekyll. They are very afraid, but they must do something to safe Dr. Jekyll. So they take an axe and destroy the door. On the ground they find Mr. Hyde and there they also find a confession and a letter of Dr. Jekyll. Mr. Hyde is dead because he took some poison.
Mr. Utterson takes the confession and the letter and goes home. There he reads at first the letter and it says that he is allowed to read the other letters which he got few days ago. The letter of Mr. Lanyon says that one day he got some things and at the same day a short person came and he took the things and made something with them. Suddenly the man changed into Dr. Jekyll and he as Dr. Jekyll went home. Then he takes Dr. Jekyll`s confession. It says that Dr. Jekyll was also Mr. Hyde. And it also says that he took a drug and because of that he changed into Mr. Hyde. Mr. Hyde was purely evil, but Dr. Jekyll took too much of that drug, because he took one each day, he didn't want to be Dr. Jekyll. And one day he turns into Mr. Hyde, without taking the drug. Dr. Jekyll wanted to change from Mr. Hyde into Dr. Jekyll and so he said to his servant that he should buy some chemicals. But they were not the same as the last time. Dr. Jekyll thought that maybe there was another chemical in the white powder and so not clean, but now the chemical was clean and he couldn't change to Dr. Jekyll.
So this confession solves this mystery about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
